Fur is a publication edited by Fabio Kawallys and Cassia Tabatini bringing together visual works by international contributors from a range of artistic disciplines. Drawing on a low-fi, tropical, DIY-punk aesthetics, fur is presented both as a website ( www.fur-uk.com) and a publication, sometimes taking the form of live events and exhibitions.
Strongly influenced by the avant-garde legacies of Dada and Surrealism, each issue of fur is organised around ‚often absurd, obscure - themes. Founded in 2008, when published fur normally takes a size of tabloid, like newsprint, occasionally adding some colour.
Mixing picked new talents with established artists from different corners of the world, it creates an international network.
We are 90 percent free of text, working as a low resolution/high profile gallery where each page is also poster.
